Small Bathroom Remodeling

Remodeling a bathroom can be fun, but small bathroom remodeling can be a little bit tricky. You don’t have quite as much space to work with as you would in a normal bathroom remodeling situation, and that is why you have to get a bit creative. Granted it’s going to be a little bit difficult, but small bathroom remodeling is entirely possible and all you need to do is think a little bit.

Since this is a small bathroom you will of course want to start thinking about space. Take a look inside your bathroom. Do you have any cupboards in there? If so there is a chance that they are taking up more room than you want, and that is not a good thing when you have limited space. You need to decide whether or not you can get rid of the cabinet and keep your towels elsewhere, or perhaps move in a towel rack. If your cupboard is built into a wall, then your small bathroom remodeling may involve a sledge hammer and a saw, which will require some major aesthetic work later on, but it will be quite worth it in the end.

After you get rid of the cupboards you can move in a smaller towel rack, though some people will choose to keep towels outside the bathroom. This will be a decision that you have to make in a small bathroom remodeling, because if the towels are outside the bathroom it will require some extra planning before you actually enter the bathroom unless you live alone. If you have ever showered before then you probably know exactly what I am talking about.

If you need a place to keep the toilet paper within the bathroom, then you might consider a cupboard above the toilet in your small bathroom remodeling. You can even give it doors so that people can’t actually see what’s in it when they walk in the first time. Though you might be considering keeping it under the sink, there are a few things to consider.

A hanging sink might be a better idea for you because there will be much more room underneath it. In a small bathroom remodeling you don’t want to just increase the actual space but also the perceived space. A person does not want to feel cramped when they go to the bathroom, so make sure that the bathroom itself looks as spacious as possible. It will also be a lot easier to clean under a hanging sink.

There are many things that you need to think about when you are doing small bathroom remodeling, and these are only a few of them. If you want more tips on small bathroom remodeling, then head to your local hardware store or search the internet for a plethora of other ideas!
