Kitchen Floor Plans
When designing a kitchen there are some things that many people just do not think about, one of which is the layout. Though it may not seem like a huge deal at this point, it will be later on when everyone is running into eachother or work it the kitchen is a lot harder than it actually should be. Before you place everything in your kitchen it’s time to seriously consider a few different kitchen floor plans.
The first thing that you need to think about is sectioning your kitchen off into different areas. There should be a cooking area, a snack area, and a cleaning area. If you do it in this way you will definitely avoid everyone running into eachother all the time. If you have a snack bar off to the side, then you might consider putting it on the dining room side so that people can sit on that side and not be on the actual kitchen floor, leaving you free to move around and do other work such as cleaning and cooking. This is just one way to create effective kitchen floor plans.
Also make sure to consider a small island in the center of the kitchen for your kitchen floor plans. The reason for this is so that you will have more counter space than usual, which is without a doubt very important in kitchen floor plans. Everyone knows that you can easily run out of space on the counter and having a place to put things like dishes and food while working is saving grace.
Always make sure that your refrigerator is in line with your sink so that you will have easy access to it while you are preparing food. It’s important in your kitchen floor plans to make sure that your refrigerator is not too close to your work area otherwise you may experience problems with the doors hitting things that you have on the counter leading to undue frustration.
Another thing that you will have to decide on is what type of sink you want. You can go for the traditional sink or an apron front sink. Either one is good, but the apron front sink has more storage capacity. These are decisions that you will have to face while developing and choosing your kitchen floor plans.
If you want more ideas, there are actually many different floor plans online and a quick internet search will no doubt bring them up. You can also talk to sales associates at your local hardware store for more advice, just remember that in the end it is completely up to you and depends heavily on your likes and dislikes. Just follow your heart and your kitchen will turn out exactly the way you want it!
