Find the right app.
There are several apps available to help you connect your phone to your car. If you own a newer model vehicle with Apple Car Play or Android Auto, you should use those features instead of connecting via Bluetooth.
Pair it with your car.
Once you download the right app, you will need to pair your phone with your car. This process usually involves tapping a button on both devices. After pairing, you will see a list of connected devices on your phone. Tap the name of your car to open its settings menu. Then tap “Bluetooth” and select the option to turn on Bluetooth.
Set up your phone as a hands-free device.
If you use your phone while driving, you should set it up so that it does not disturb other drivers. To do this, go into your phone’s settings and find the “hands-free” feature. Turn it on by selecting the box next to “Hands Free Mode.” Now when you make calls, text messages, or send emails, you won’t have to hold down the phone keypad.
